I have powered off and removed the Aireshield from the HVAC unit as well as the nylon mesh prefilter. It is moderately dirty, but easy to wipe off and reuse. Just be careful with the sharp pins. After removing the powerbox the Aireshield can be cleaned in the sink if you wish to do it that way, just be sure to remove the powerbox which includes the electronic parts. This video shows a simple wet rage wipe down cleaning.

How to Clean & Maintain Your Aireshield

Keeping your air clean shouldn’t mean constantly replacing filters. With Aireshield’s washable design, maintenance is simple, sustainable, and built for long-term performance.

Watch the cleaning process in action above, or jump straight to our quick steps here:

  1. Power off your HVAC system and remove the unit
  2. Detach the power box before cleaning
  3. Wipe down with a damp cloth, or rinse with soap and water
  4. Let dry, reinstall, and you’re back to clean air

The entire process takes just minutes—and supports a system designed to last up to 10 years with proper care.

Why Washable Filters Change the Game

Traditional filters are disposable. Aireshield flips that model.

Instead of replacing filters every few months, you’re maintaining a system that:

  • Reduces waste
  • Maintains airflow efficiency
  • Continues actively improving indoor air quality over time
